We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong case management abilities and a solid background handling personal injury matters from intake through settlement and litigation support.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary DOEPaid vacation and holidaysSupportive and professional work environmentQualified candidates should submit a resume and cover letter for consideration.Compensation: $30 - $32 hourlyResponsibilities: Negotiate liens, medical bills, and settlements with providers or insurance companiesAid lawyers in preparing for trial by arranging exhibits, witnesses, legal materials, client meetings, and motionsOrganize our case filing systems so that everything is properly categorized and simple to find, as well as perform other administrative tasks as necessaryCreate legal pleadings, communications, and documents such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits with the assistance of a lawyerResolve disputes without going to court by providing legal representation at family settlement meetings and mediationManage personal injury cases from inception through resolutionDraft pleadings, discovery, demand packages, and correspondenceMaintain communication with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counselOrganize and review medical records and billingCalendar deadlines and manage litigation timelinesAssist attorneys with trial preparation and case strategyCoordinate settlements and lien reductionsMaintain accurate electronic and physical case filesQualifications: Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammarABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate's degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor's degree desiredCompletion of a NALA (National Association of Legal Assistants) certification program strongly preferredExcellent organizational skills, and time-management skillsMinimum 5+ years of plaintiff personal injury paralegal experience preferredStrong knowledge of Washington State civil procedures and personal injury practiceExperience with litigation support and trial preparationExcellent writing, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple cases efficientlyProficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management softwareProfessional demeanor and strong client service skillsAbout CompanyFor more than five decades, Hester Law Group has fought for our clients' rights.
