Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technician specializing in transmission work to diagnose, repair, and maintain transmission systems on a variety of vehicles, with an emphasis on Chevrolet and GM models. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and replace manual and automatic transmissions
Perform advanced diagnostics using factory scan tools and equipment
Conduct thorough inspections and communicate findings to service advisors and customers
Ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards for quality and safety
Stay current with Chevrolet/GM training and certifications
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Mentor and support junior technicians as needed
Qualifications
3+ years of professional automotive technician experience with a focus on transmissions
GM or ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality repairs
