Job Description:
THE JOB / Experiential Director (Events)
EXPERIENCES / Responsible for planning and executing event and experiential marketing programs.
Do you enjoy turning ideas into action? Maybe you enjoy participating in and delivering fantastic experiences.
If you have knowledge and experience planning & managing events while on a constant search for the next best experience, this opportunity is for you! Our team is searching for an Experiential Director who can take a creative idea and bring it to life on-site for brands to own and consumers to enjoy.
The Experiential Director will be the 'general contractor' of sorts- organizing communication from multiple collaborators and turning it into actionable steps. The ultimate goal is to plan and execute world-class experiences for our brand clients and the consumers they are engaging with.
We are seeking an Experiential Director to join Octagon's Events Team as a key leader responsible for the production, fabrication, and execution of world-class events and experiences across our portfolio. This role will serve as the day-to-day lead for all production-related activities, bringing creative concepts to life through exceptional planning, vendor management, fabrication oversight, and onsite execution. The Experiential Director will oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and implementation of critical event elements including audiovisual production, staging, scenic fabrication, signage, furniture, custom builds, and interactive experiences.
Working collaboratively with clients, account teams, creatives, and external partners, this individual will lead projects from initial brief through post-event recap, ensuring a seamless process from concept development and design execution to staffing, logistics, budget management, and onsite delivery. The ideal candidate is an experienced event producer who thrives in fast-paced environments, possesses deep production expertise, and is equally comfortable managing high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
Beyond individual event leadership, the Experiential Director will play a vital role in shaping and elevating production excellence across Octagon's Events Team. This individual will help establish scalable processes, standardize production and fabrication practices, cultivate vendor partnerships, and drive operational consistency across a diverse portfolio of experiences, including major corporate events, industry conferences, client hospitality programs, and professional golf properties. As a leader within the team, they will help ensure Octagon continues to deliver innovative, best-in-class experiences that exceed client expectations and set new standards for execution.
Success in this position will be through collaboration with the larger Events Team and will include the management of client communication and workflow, prioritization of project tasks, working under pressure and leading the successful activation of programming in a deadline-oriented environment.
Still with us? Cool. Because this role will be integral in continuing to grow our team of event production experts, while taking on a lead role in a variety of new and exciting projects. We are looking for someone that is eager to try something new, dig in and work through complexity while having a lot of fun along the way!
