Exploring Graphics- Machine Operator

Position Summary

Exploring Graphics, a member of the Exploring family of companies, is seeking an experienced Large Format Digital Print Operator to join our Las Vegas production team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating large-format digital printing equipment in a commercial printing, signage, graphics, or trade show production environment.

This position requires an individual who can independently set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot printing equipment while maintaining high standards for print quality, color accuracy, and production efficiency.

This is not an entry-level position. Previous hands-on experience operating large-format digital printers is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate large-format digital printing equipment.

• Prepare print files, load substrates, and adjust printer settings.

• Monitor print production for color consistency, image quality, alignment, and accuracy.

• Review job specifications and ensure finished products meet customer requirements.

• Perform routine printer maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.

• Identify and resolve print defects, equipment errors, and production issues.

• Work with materials including vinyl, fabric, banners, adhesive graphics, and rigid substrates.

• Coordinate with finishing and production teams to meet project deadlines.

• Maintain accurate production records and minimize material waste.

• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean production environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating large-format digital printing equipment.

• Experience in commercial printing, signage, graphics production, or a related industry.

• Ability to independently operate and troubleshoot large-format printing machinery.

• Working knowledge of RIP software and digital print production workflows.

• Experience handling print substrates, materials, and production specifications.

• Understanding of color management, print quality, and resolution requirements.

• Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production instructions.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment.

Preferred Experience

• UV, latex, eco-solvent, or dye-sublimation printing technology.

• Large-format flatbed and roll-to-roll printers.

• Trade show, exhibition, and event graphics production.

• Print finishing, trimming, laminating, and cutting equipment.

• Experience with industry-standard RIP and production software.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to perform repetitive production tasks, including bending and reaching.

• Ability to handle large rolls, sheets, and other printing substrates.

• Ability to lift and move materials within established company safety guidelines, using assistance or mechanical equipment when required.
