HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW

The Export Compliance Manager is the subject matter expert responsible for the corporate export compliance program, ensuring compliance with BIS, Census, OFAC, and CBP rules and regulations while fostering a culture of compliance excellence minimizing exposure to risk.

This is a hybrid position based in the greater Philadelphia metro area.

EXPECTATIONS

· Manage the export compliance program, policies and procedures
· Conduct internal audits, investigate non-compliance, and establish corrective action plan
· Spearhead compliance with the BIS Connected Vehicle Rule and serve as the point of contact for BIS inquiries
· Determine ECCN classifications for new product technologies, service parts, and accessories
· Research export license requirements and manage export licenses
· Oversee EEI filings in ACE and make determinations on denied party screening results
· Develop export compliance training and maintain the Export Compliance Manual
· Advise internal departments and legal partners on export regulations
· Monitor regulatory changes, communicate company impact to leadership team
· Manage and mentor team of export professionals

ESSENTIALS

· 8-10 years of export compliance experience, automotive industry a plus
· Bachelor's degree required
· Export compliance certification such as CES, CUSECO, or ECoP required
· In depth knowledge of EAR, FTR, OFAC, and CBP regulations
· Ability to make ECCN and licensing determinations
· Understanding of Free Trade Agreements including USMCA
· Proficiency in EEI filing and ACE system
· Licensed US Customs Broker a plus
· Strong communication skills and attention to detail
