If working outdoors, mastering tools, and riding a bucket truck to 60 feet or more sounds like your kind of challenge, you’ll fit right in. Champion Personnel is hiring an Exterior Sign & Lighting Service Technician for a full-time, contract-to-hire role in Eastlake, Ohio.
The Mission
Help install, repair, and maintain commercial signs and lighting systems that guide customers and light up communities across Northeast Ohio—and occasionally beyond.
Your Week, Reimagined
First shift rhythm: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with overtime available.
Start pay from $25–$30 per hour.
Field-based teamwork with an experienced installation crew.
What You’ll Tackle
Digest blueprints and work orders to plan safe, accurate installs.
Prep sites: dig holes, set bases, and securely mount signage.
Complete basic electrical wiring and lighting troubleshooting.
Operate bucket trucks and work confidently at height.
Use hand and power tools to get quality results the first time.
What You Bring
Valid driver’s license and clear, effective English communication.
Comfort with physical work: lifting 50–60 pounds, climbing, bending, and working in all weather.
Backgrounds that stand out: construction, installation, concrete, landscaping, roofing, utility work, electrical, or other skilled trades.
Pluses: prior sign installation, CDL Class A or B, and strong blueprint reading skills.
