Title: Extra Help Building Service Worker

General Summary

Directly responsible for cleaning, sanitizing or disinfecting all designated interior and exterior spaces according to set standards and procedures.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Desired Qualifications

Valid driver's license.

Work Hours

Hours not to exceed 28 per week. Shift availability includes overnights, weekends, and early morning hours.

Functional Expectations

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  1. Ability to walk and stand for 6-8 hours per day

  2. Ability to lift 35 lbs.

  3. Ability to push/pull up to 80 lbs

  4. Ability to bend, stoop, twist; ability to climb ladders and stairs; ability to work above shoulder

level for extended periods of time; ability to work around dust, fumes, and environmental irritants.

$17.34 per hour

Sponsorship: Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for Illinois State University in the United States. Extra Help employees may only work up to a total of 900 hours. There is no guarantee that working as Extra Help will lead to or secure permanent employment.
