Job Description
We have a great opportunity for an Extrusion Operator with a local manufacturing company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience required.
- Previous experience operating extrusion machines required.
- Strong understanding of quality control and food safety procedures.
- Forklift operation experience required.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and address production issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide direction to team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily extrusion department operations to ensure production goals and schedules are met.
- Ensure finished products meet quality and food safety standards.
- Monitor production processes and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Perform equipment repairs and report significant maintenance concerns as needed.
- Provide direction and supervision to employees within the department.
- Operate a forklift to move materials and support production operations.
- Order supplies and maintain inventory levels.
- Complete required production paperwork, records, and reports accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and food safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Manufacturing and production environment.
- Work areas may be noisy and exposed to hot or cold temperatures.
- Requires working around production machinery and equipment.
- Must follow established safety and food safety procedures.
HOURS:
- 2-2-3 schedule
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
PAY:
- $23.00/hr base pay
- +$1.00/hr night shift differential for night shift
