Fabrication Manager

Metal Works is seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager to join our team!

Job Summary

Manage and schedule manufacturing activities to ensure customer requirements are met for product quality and delivery. Ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and that the overall operation of the assigned area is managed efficiently and productively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the production schedule, identifying and assigning priorities.
• Verify and maintain daily inventory Min/Max levels for stock.
• Manage supply requirements for the department and reorder as necessary to prevent stock-outs; review requirements weekly.
• Update Profit Key for output and provide Management with a daily status update of completed Work Orders.
• Provide ongoing customer support.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment, ensuring that all safety guidelines are followed for the storage and/or disposal of hazardous materials assigned to the work area.
• Make recommendations to improve workflow, processes, and methods.
• Manage resources to eliminate waste and rework and reduce downtime.
• Ensure employees complete job travelers, product is properly identified throughout the process, and labor is accurately recorded.
• Ensure personnel assigned to the area are properly trained and comply with company policies and procedures.
• Complete other tasks and/or assignments as required by Management.
• Be responsible for the quality and adequacy of own work.
• Adhere to the Company's Personnel Policies & Procedures.
