Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $16.00–$18.50 per hour (based on experience), paid weekly
• Shift Differential: $1.00
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM

A Day in the Life

Start your shift with a safety huddle, then step into a fast-moving floor where accuracy and teamwork matter. You’ll receive incoming steel, verify counts, and store it properly. Using forklifts, hand trucks, and a pendant-operated overhead crane, you’ll stage materials for production, pick orders, and load outbound trailers. Throughout the shift you’ll keep work areas clean, double‑check documentation, and support quality processes—finishing the day with a tidy handoff to the next team.

What You’ll Do

• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to keep yourself and your teammates safe
• Receive inbound inventory, verify accuracy, and place materials into designated storage locations
• Pull stock to fulfill customer orders and prepare accurate outbound loads
• Operate forklifts, hand trucks, cranes, and other material handling equipment to move materials within the facility and to/from trucks or trailers
• Deliver error‑free work for internal and external customers by following established processes that support safety and quality programs
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace; work under direct supervision; perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic critical thinking with strong attention to detail
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
• Ability to operate overhead cranes using pendant radio controls; maintain required equipment certifications
• Proficiency with hand tools
• Knowledge of best practices for safely loading and unloading trailers/trucks
• Ability to follow instructions and pre‑established guidelines
• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints
• Ability to speak, write, and comprehend conversational English

Physical & Environmental Demands

• Stand and walk for prolonged periods, including 2–5 miles per shift
• Frequently bend, sit, stand, twist, and stoop
• Lift and carry 25–50 lbs from floor to waist and front carry 25–50 lbs repeatedly per shift
• Reach overhead; squat; kneel; climb short ladders or steps
• Maintain precise hand and finger coordination for grasping and manipulating objects
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and related equipment
• Read labels, follow safety instructions, and communicate effectively in an industrial setting
• 20/30 vision with corrective lenses
• Work indoors and outdoors with exposure to changing temperatures, loud noise, and equipment vibration
• Potential hazards: proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, high heat, and chemicals
• Atmospheric conditions may include fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
• Possible air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids
