Chesapeake Fire Protection is looking for an experienced Welder to join our fabrication team! You'll play a hands-on role in assembling, welding, and fabricating metal components while ensuring quality workmanship and keeping production on schedule.

️ What You'll Do

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.

• Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and other welding techniques to fabricate and repair metal components.

• Measure, cut, fit, and align materials for welding.

• Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and safety compliance.

• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and a clean, organized workspace.

• Work with fabrication team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.

• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.

• Document completed work and report defects or issues to supervisors.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 2+ years of welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.

• AWS, CWB, or equivalent welding certifications preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

• Basic computer and email skills.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

The Job

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.

• Stand, lift, and perform physical work for extended periods.

• Comfortable working in a shop environment with noise, heat, and confined spaces.
