What You'll Do as a Fabricator:- Operate fabrication equipment, including shears, brake presses, grinders, insert presses, punch presses, straight liners, and drill presses
- Read work orders and job travelers to determine materials, dimensions, tolerances, and inspection requirements
- Set up and operate CNC equipment, including adjusting machine controls and programs as appropriate for skill level
- Measure completed parts using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, and rulers to verify specifications
- Inspect finished pieces for defects and monitor parts throughout production to ensure quality standards are met
- Position, lift, align, and secure workpieces, and remove burrs or sharp edges using portable grinders and deburring tools
- Record production information and follow established safety, quality, and work procedures
What You Need to Bring to the Fabricator Role:- High school diploma or GED required
- Entry-level welcome; no previous experience required for Level 1 positions
- Aptitude and willingness to learn the skills required for the position
- Basic math skills and the ability to read and follow work instructions
- Basic computer skills for recording time worked and job operations
- Ability to stand constantly, walk frequently, and bend or twist throughout the shift
- Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds constantly and 21-50 pounds frequently, and wear required PPE, including steel-toed footwear and safety eyewear
