Summary: Responsible for safe, and effective operation of manual fabrication machinery and welding equipment for the purposes of manufacturing precision measurement tools and accessories. In this role you will perform advanced-level fabrication and welding work, including the joining, repair, and construction of complex components and structures using a wide range of welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding. We want to see you embrace and immerse yourself in the assigned company's culture. Primary Responsibilities: Performs advanced MIG, TIG, and arc welding on a variety of materials and configurations. Reads and interprets complex blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols with minimal supervision. Utilizes manual and CNC metal fabrication equipment, including saws, lathes, press brakes, drill presses, and grinders. Leads or supports prototype fabrication and process development for new or custom products. Performs mechanical and general assembly, ensuring high standards of cosmetic appearance and functional integrity. Collaborates cross-functionally with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve design and fabrication issues. Ensures adherence to quality and safety standards; actively contributes to process improvement initiatives. Participates in lean events, design reviews, cost reductions, cycle time savings, and training. Understand and follow established quality and safety standards. Follow approved processes to provide finished goods with a focus on quality and on-time delivery. Keep an organized work area in order to maintain a productive and safe work environment. Interact daily with production coordinators to communicate progress and take additional instruction. Assist in assembling, adjusting or finishing products as required. Performs all other assignments as requested by management. |
