    Description

    Boston Mountain Rural Health Center (BMRHC) in Huntsville is seeking a dependable, motivated Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Technician to support our growing network of clinic locations across North Central Arkansas. This position travels regularly between clinics to help ensure our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for patients, visitors, and employees.

    What You'll Do

    • Perform preventive maintenance and general building repairs.
    • Complete basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and facility repairs.
    • Maintain clinic grounds through mowing, trimming, landscaping, and seasonal maintenance.
    • Travel daily between BMRHC clinic locations.
    • Install and move office furniture, fixtures, and medical equipment.
    • Assist with clinic renovations, remodels, expansions, and new clinic openings.
    • Coordinate with contractors and vendors.
    • Respond to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
    • Maintain parking lots, sidewalks, and entrances, including snow and ice removal.
    • Maintain maintenance and fleet vehicles, tools, and equipment.
    • Help provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that supports patient care.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Experience in facilities maintenance, construction, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or related trade.
    • Valid Arkansas driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
    • Ability to travel regularly between BMRHC locations.
    • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally, and work indoors and outdoors.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and customer service.

    Preferred

    • Healthcare or commercial building maintenance experience.
    • Trade certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, OSHA, etc.).

    Work Schedule

    Primarily regular daytime business hours. Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and after-hours work may be required to respond to emergency repairs, severe weather events, critical maintenance needs, or projects that minimize disruption to patient care.
