Job Description

Facilities Coordinator - Full-Time

Greater Seacoast Health | Wakefield and somersworth, New Hampshire

Full-Time | Non-Exempt | $25.08-$28.83/Hour Based on Experience

Like being the person who notices what needs to be done - and gets it done?

If you take pride in keeping buildings running smoothly, enjoy hands-on work, and would rather have variety in your day than do the same thing over and over, this could be a great fit.

Greater Seacoast Health is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to help keep our healthcare locations safe, functional, welcoming, and ready for the patients and employees who rely on them every day.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can work independently, spot problems before they become bigger ones, prioritize what needs attention, and follow things through to completion.

️ Why You'll Like This Role

  • Competitive pay: $25.08-$28.83/hour, based on experience
  • Full-time position
  • Work across multiple Greater Seacoast Health locations
  • Variety - no two days are exactly the same
  • A mix of hands-on maintenance, building operations, projects, vendors, and problem-solving
  • Independence to manage day-to-day responsibilities while having support from the Facilities Manager
  • Work that directly supports healthcare teams and the patients they serve
  • Opportunity to be part of a mission-driven community health organization

What You'll Do

As our Facilities Coordinator, you'll help keep our buildings operating safely and professionally while taking ownership of the everyday needs that keep a healthcare facility running.

Facility Maintenance & Repairs

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout assigned locations
  • Complete regular interior and exterior walkthroughs
  • Identify maintenance, safety, and appearance concerns before they become larger problems
  • Handle routine issues independently when they fall within the scope of the position

️ Building Systems & Preventive Maintenance

  • Complete assigned preventive maintenance and routine inspections
  • Help monitor HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, access systems, and other building equipment
  • Recognize when an issue requires additional support or an outside contractor
  • Keep the Facilities Manager informed of needed repairs and ongoing concerns

Building Appearance & Grounds

  • Help maintain clean, safe, and professional interior and exterior spaces
  • Complete minor repairs, painting, touch-ups, and general upkeep
  • Assist with trash removal and other facility needs
  • Support snow and ice removal in non-contracted areas when needed

Safety

  • Identify and address facility safety concerns within your scope
  • Promptly report issues requiring additional action
  • Complete assigned safety inspections
  • Support fire/life-safety, emergency preparedness, infection-control, and other facility requirements

Vendors & Contractors

  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service technicians as assigned
  • Provide access to work areas and assist during service visits
  • Provide measurements, photos, equipment information, or other details when needed
  • Follow up on work and keep the Facilities Manager informed of progress or concerns

Communication & Documentation

  • Maintain regular communication with the Facilities Manager
  • Provide updates on completed work, outstanding needs, and vendor activity
  • Complete check sheets, inspection forms, logs, and other required documentation accurately and on time
  • Document issues and make sure appropriate follow-up occurs

Projects & Department Support

  • Assist with renovations and installations
  • Support equipment replacements
  • Help prepare rooms and workspaces
  • Assist with moves, organizational events, new locations, and other facility projects
  • Work with departments throughout Greater Seacoast Health as facility needs arise

What We're Looking For

You don't need to know how to fix absolutely everything.

You do need to be someone who notices when something needs attention, takes initiative, knows when to handle it yourself and when to ask for help, and makes sure it doesn't get forgotten.

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel between Greater Seacoast Health locations
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn building systems and electronic documentation

Preferred

  • Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, building operations, construction, property maintenance, or a similar hands-on environment
  • General knowledge of basic building maintenance and repair
  • Additional trade training, certifications, technical education, or an Associate's degree are welcomed

You'll Be a Great Fit If You Are...

  • Dependable - people know they can count on you
  • Observant - you notice things that need attention
  • Hands-on - you're comfortable jumping in and getting work done
  • Organized - you can keep track of multiple priorities
  • Independent - you don't need someone directing every step of your day
  • Flexible - you can adjust when an unexpected facility issue comes up

  • Detail-oriented - you care about doing the job correctly and following through
  • Professional and respectful when working around patients, employees, vendors, and contractors
