Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Facilities Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of a busy commercial site in the Tampa area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys keeping a building running smoothly, coordinating vendors, and being the go-to person when something needs fixing, scheduling, or tracking down.

Day to day, you will split time between the front desk, the loading dock, and wherever the latest work order takes you, juggling vendor calls, safety walk-throughs, and space setup requests without losing track of any of them. People who thrive in this role are organized, calm under pressure, and comfortable switching between spreadsheets and steel-toe boots in the same afternoon.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily facilities operations across office and building spaces
  • Serve as primary point of contact for vendor and contractor scheduling
  • Track and manage work orders through completion using a facilities ticketing system
  • Assist with space planning, moves, adds, and changes
  • Monitor building systems and escalate maintenance issues as needed
  • Maintain compliance with safety, fire, and building code requirements
  • Support setup and breakdown for internal meetings and events
  • Order and manage inventory of facilities and office supplies
  • Assist with budget tracking for facilities-related expenses
  • Conduct routine walk-throughs to identify repair or cleaning needs

Requirements

  • 2plus years of experience in facilities, property management, or office operations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable communicating with vendors, contractors, and building staff
  • Working knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing basics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and facilities or ticketing software
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and move around the facility throughout the day
  • High school diploma required, associate degree preferred
  • Valid driver's license for occasional local errands
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent facility issues as they arise

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401k retirement plan with employer match
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Life and disability insurance options
  • Employee assistance program
  • Professional development and training opportunities
  • Hybrid work schedule flexibility
  • Parking or commuter benefits
  • Career growth within a stable, established organization
