Job Description

  • Lead the maintenance, operation, and continuous improvement of site utilities and facility infrastructure.
  • Manage engineering, maintenance, and facilities personnel while providing coaching, mentorship, and performance leadership.
  • Develop and execute capital projects, facility upgrades, and equipment installation initiatives from conception through completion.
  • Ensure the safe and reliable operation of critical building systems, including utilities, HVAC, electrical, water treatment, and related infrastructure.
  • Direct troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Manage departmental budgets, capital expenditures, resource planning, and contractor expenditures.
  • Establish engineering standards, procedures, and best practices that support operational and business objectives.
  • Coordinate third-party contractors, vendors, and service providers supporting facility and project activities.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, milestones, and resource allocation to ensure successful execution.
  • Support new product introductions and strategic business initiatives through facility and infrastructure planning.
  • Monitor departmental performance metrics and develop action plans to drive continuous improvement.
  • Participate in site governance processes including change management, quality reviews, and material disposition activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability, reduce costs, enhance quality, and increase operational effectiveness.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience within a manufacturing or industrial production environment.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience managing engineering, maintenance, or technical teams.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering capital projects and facility improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of facility systems, industrial utilities, and manufacturing infrastructure.
  • Experience managing maintenance programs, operational budgets, and engineering resources.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Experience working within highly regulated manufacturing environments is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
