We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance and Operations Coordinator to coordinate and support the maintenance, repair, reliability, and improvement of company facilities, building systems, and production equipment.
This is a hands-on position requiring practical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems. The coordinator will manage preventive maintenance activities, oversee contractors and vendors, support facility projects, and serve as the primary point of contact for facility emergencies.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facilities, building systems, and production equipment.
Coordinate preventive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
Schedule maintenance and repairs to minimize interruptions to production.
Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and general facility issues.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, contracts, and related files.
Ensure employees and contractors are properly trained to operate facility equipment.
Identify and implement opportunities to reduce facility and maintenance costs.
Prepare preliminary cost estimates, project proposals, and capital expenditure requests.
Negotiate contracts for facility maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
Implement and manage maintenance vendor agreements.
Coordinate contractors and assigned employees to complete maintenance and facility-improvement projects.
Serve as the primary emergency contact for facility-related issues.
Communicate project schedules, maintenance activities, and facility concerns through written reports and verbal updates.
Develop positive working relationships with employees, clients, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Recommend improvements to facility operations, safety, equipment reliability, and maintenance processes.
Follow all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, regulations, and applicable laws.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least five years of facilities maintenance and operations experience.
Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building codes and systems.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing facility and production equipment.
Proficiency using basic hand tools and testing equipment, including sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, and multimeters.
Experience negotiating and establishing facility or maintenance contracts.
Ability to coordinate vendors, contractors, projects, budgets, and maintenance schedules.
Strong organizational, administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Demonstrated success working with suppliers, contractors, clients, and internal departments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to serve as the first point of contact for facility emergencies.
Availability to travel domestically and internationally up to 5%, sometimes with limited notice.
Ability to stand and walk throughout the facility for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 23 kg (50 lb).
Ability to bend, stretch, climb, and crawl while maintaining equipment and buildings.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to work around operating machinery and active production environments.
Availability to respond to facility emergencies outside regular working hours when necessary.
Associate degree in facilities management, industrial maintenance, engineering technology, or a related field.
At least five years of facilities and operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
Advanced hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC systems.
Experience developing preventive maintenance programs for production equipment.
Experience preparing capital expenditure requests and coordinating facility-improvement projects.
