Position Summary: Perform a wide variety of maintenance duties associated with the repair and upkeep of Addison Reserve clubhouse and various club facilities. Candidate may specialize in one or more maintenance areas.
Essential Responsibilities:- Monitor and maintain spa equipment including steam rooms, saunas, whirlpools, and swimming pools. Maintain temperatures at appropriate levels.
- Monitor and maintain laundry, kitchen and ice making equipment.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment throughout the club property.
- Paint, plaster, install drywall, stucco, wood framing and other carpentry tasks, and metal framing.
- Respond to alarms as necessary.
- Perform a variety of plumbing duties.
- Perform masonry duties.
- Change light bulbs, ballasts, and light fixtures.
- Perform a variety of electrical duties.
- Clean and maintain equipment as necessary.
- Excavate, dig trenches and lay pipes when necessary.
- Communicate with members, coworkers, management, staff, the general public, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Respond promptly when returning telephone calls and replying to correspondence.
- Act, dress, and behave in a professional manner to reflect a positive image of Addison Reserve Country Club.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements - Requires knowledge and skills in one or more maintenance trades such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, painting, wallpapering, welding, flooring and tiling, HVAC etc.
- Requires proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Requires the ability to plan and effect repairs in an effective and efficient manner.
- Requires knowledge in safety and accident avoidance.
- Must be able to multi-task and think quickly.
- Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions.
- Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, members, and vendors.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements (continued):- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with many interruptions.
- Ability to be flexible and juggle many assignments or projects at the same time.
- Working efficiently in a stressful environment.
- Ability to work long and unusual hours when necessary.
Physical Requirements:- Must be able to lift, pull and push at least 40 - 50 pounds
- Must be able to climb and balance on a ladder of various heights
- Must be able to stoop, kneel or crouch for at least 5-10 minutes at a time
- Must be able to work with extended arm (s) for at least 2-5 minutes at a time
Education & Work Experience Requirements:- High school diploma or GED
- A minimum of two years of related experience or any equivalent combination of related training and experience.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
