Facilities Project Manager

As the LFP Facilities Project Manager, you will plan, execute, and close out capital and operational expense projects that keep production running-covering building systems, utilities, process-support infrastructure and plant turnarounds-while owning project financials end to end. This role balances schedule, safety and quality with rigorous budget control and forecast accuracy, in close partnership with Finance, Manufacturing, Production, Construction and EHS, working with Facilities Engineering, Maintenance and Operations. Success means delivering projects that protect uptime and throughput, meet CapEx and OpEx commitments, and create a clear audit trail from business case through closeout and capitalization.

• Lead facilities and plant infrastructure projects end to end-from scope definition through commissioning and handoff to Operations and Maintenance-including HVAC, compressed air, process water, electrical, structural, cleanroom/support spaces, material handling interfaces and building envelope
• Plan and execute work around live production constraints (shutdown windows, line freezes, LOTO, hot work, contractor access) to protect UPH, OEE, safety and customer deliveries
• Own project delivery controls: scopes, schedules, risk registers, execution plans, change control, and coordination of GCs, specialty trades, OEMs and internal stakeholders
• Drive permitting, code compliance, and EHS requirements; enforce site safety standards for contractors working in active manufacturing areas
• Own Facilities CapEx and OpEx budgets end to end-baseline, commitments, actuals, remaining forecast, contingency, cash-flow/spend forecasts, variance analysis and EAC-aligned to Finance cycles and the annual capital plan
• Prepare and defend business cases and capital request packages (problem, options, cost breakdown, schedule, risk, ROI/payback or cost avoidance) and partner with Finance on CapEx vs. OpEx, capitalization, useful life, asset tagging and audit-ready closeout
• Lead commercial strategy and cost discipline: RFP packages, bid leveling, TCO-based award decisions, change orders/claims/back-charges, PO/invoice/retainage control, and quantified value engineering and cost avoidance without compromising safety, code, or reliability
• Serve as the single point of contact across Manufacturing, Maintenance, EHS, Quality, IT/OT, Finance, Procurement, and contractors; communicate status in production-relevant terms (line risk, recovery plan, cost/schedule impact)
• Deliver production-ready assets through punch list, commissioning, as-builts, O&M turnover, training, warranty start, and complete financial/project documentation
• Improve standard work for estimating, contractor onboarding, shutdown execution, and financial reporting; coach coordinators or junior PMs on cost control and manufacturing-safe execution as applicable
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related field (equivalent experience considered)
• 5+ years of project management in manufacturing facilities, plant engineering, industrial construction, or similar heavy-operations environments, including work in live production with strict safety, quality and uptime requirements
• Demonstrated ownership of multi-project or multi-million-dollar budgets, including forecasting, variance management, commitment control and closeout
• Strong commercial and cost-control skills: contracts, bid evaluation, change orders, invoice/PO discipline and challenging scope creep or weak estimates
• Working knowledge of building systems and plant utilities common to manufacturing sites, with judgment to plan facilities work around production reality
• Proficiency with project controls and financial tools (e.g., MS Project or equivalent, Excel forecasting models, ERP/PO systems such as SAP or Oracle)
• Clear written and verbal communication with technical teams, Finance and senior leadership; ability to align stakeholders without losing accountability
• Financial acumen and integrity: treat budget, forecast and EAC as operating tools; report accurately with no surprises on spend or production impact
• Willingness to support off-shift or weekend work during critical shutdowns as needed
• Preferred: PMP/CAPM (CEM, PE, or facilities certification a plus); capital planning and fixed-asset partnership with Finance; automotive, battery, electronics, food/pharma or other high-volume manufacturing; lean/TPM mindset; GC management under GMP/ISO or similar standards; energy efficiency or sustainability projects with measurable returns; bilingual or multi-site portfolio experience where relevant
