    Description

    Our client is seeking a Critical Operations Technician (COT) to support their data center. This role involves maintaining mechanical, electrical, and fire safety systems while ensuring optimal operational efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Monitor and maintain facility systems, addressing abnormalities in electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
    • Collaborate with the Critical Operations Manager on maintenance schedules and manage discrepancies.
    • Prevent unplanned outages, optimize cooling efficiency, and oversee power installations.
    • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for troubleshooting and assist in asset management.
    • Conduct facility and security inspections and provide mechanical and control expertise for the data center.

    Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years of experience in data center or other mission-critical operations.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, transformers, chillers, PDUs, etc.).
    • Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and compliance issues and building codes in regards to fire life safety.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office and site monitoring systems.
    • Navy Nuclear Engineering experience and a Bachelors degree are preferred.
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

    Additional Info:

    • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a background screening.
    • Willingness to adhere to a Pitman Schedule

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $42.00 - $53.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 per week
