Job title: Facility Technician/HVAC
Duration: 12+ months (Possible extension)
Location: Palm Bay, FL
Pay range: $35-$38/hr on W2
Job Description:
This Facilities Tech D will provide support as a skilled technician (replacement). Requires 10-20 years’HVAC experience, requires basic mastery of HVAC elements. This Tech D will coordinate work of contractors and interface with customers to accommodate all program requirements. You must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to all 5 sites in Brevard. Will be on call for Program critical equipment issues. Business work orders are completed within 5 days, sometimes within the hour.
Support HVAC requests for repairs/replacement of 3.5M SF in 76 buildings spread across 5 locations in Brevard. Basic computer skills
- Use tracking software to ensure components are accurately installed, tracked, etc.
- Interface with all levels of the organization to report on HVAC issues/repairs/replacements.
- 6-8 years’experience in HVAC certified Refrigerant Mechanic.
- Role is customer focused;metric driven and has an expectation of timely completion and close out of Work Orders.
- Will work in a diverse and changing environment supporting many internal and external customers simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s License.
- Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Self-starter with good written and verbal communications skills.
- Microsoft Suite basic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC elements and building layouts
