With NTi, you aren't a number, you're a valuable team member!The Facilities Technician assists in the successful implementation of construction, operation and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure at our Plattsburgh sites, PDQC and PPC, including inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and supply and exhaust systems to ensure optimal operating results.In a typical day, your expertise:Operates and maintains all facilities equipment, including troubleshooting and preventative maintenanceDevelops and monitors building metrics and supports root-cause corrective action (RCCA) plans as neededReceives, prioritizes, and completes facilities work orders through the work order system. Documents labor, parts, and root cause on close-out so equipment history is accurate. Escalates requests that need contractor support or exceed the maintenance budget to the Facilities ManagerExecutes the PM schedule for all facilities equipment and flags recurring failures for corrective actionEnsures sprinkler, backflow, fire panel and diesel generator testing are completed on scheduleMaintains the facilities spare-parts inventory and ordering replacement parts as necessaryAssists the HSE manager to inspect and maintain fire extinguishers, including Class D units in titanium machining and scrap areasMaintains the bulk argon supply, distribution lines, and regulators, and coordinates deliveries with the gas vendorPerforms scheduled testing and maintenance of oxygen-deficiency monitors and alarms, reporting results to the HSE ManagerAdheres to and improves existing HSE programsContributes to timely and effective communication with internal stakeholders and ensures good communication across departments, functions, and shifts; collaborates and coordinates with external vendors, partners, community members, etc.Assists with continuous improvement efforts to improve profitability, competitiveness, reliability, quality, safety, etc. in areas of responsibilityAdheres to and promotes applicable Policies, Procedures, Safety Rules & Regulations and Security GuidelinesOther duties and responsibilities as required for the successful operation of businessThis position will have access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls.
