Facility Maintenance

Overview

Facility Maintenance is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the Service Center to create a clean and presentable work atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning the dock, yard and office
• Sweeping and Emptying Trash cans
• Organizing
• Complete weekly & monthly inspection
• Communicate/coordinate with outside vendors to ensure quality and Dayton Freight Line's standards are met
• Assist Service Center Manager in working with contractors on new construction projects
• Timely communicate any known defects of equipment to Operations Supervisor on duty
• Available for irregular work schedules and for altering work shifts and/or assignments
• Effectively interact and converse with customers and company personnel
• Lift and carry boxes without assistance
• Report all accidents and/or injuries immediately to Operations Supervisor on duty
• Work within all company safety requirements
• Complete other various tasks as instructed

Qualifications

• 18 years of age
• Basic math skills
• Fluent in English
