Facility Maintenance Technician

Genesis Products is seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance / Groundskeeper to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facility and surrounding grounds. This role is responsible for performing general building maintenance, completing routine repairs, maintaining exterior areas, and supporting the overall upkeep of the manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, safety-conscious, and able to work independently while responding to facility needs as they arise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Facility Maintenance

• Perform general building maintenance and minor repairs, including doors, hardware, fixtures, walls, and other facility components.

• Conduct routine facility inspections and identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and areas requiring repair.

• Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and other general maintenance tasks within the individual's training and qualifications.

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the facility.

• Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and coordinate with maintenance personnel or outside contractors as needed.

• Monitor facility supplies and communicate when materials or equipment are needed.

• Respond to maintenance requests and complete assigned work in a timely manner.

Groundskeeping and Exterior Maintenance

• Remove litter and debris from parking lots, sidewalks, landscaped areas, and building entrances.

• Perform seasonal maintenance, including snow and ice removal, salting, and clearing walkways and entrances.

• Inspect exterior areas for potential hazards and report issues requiring additional attention.

• Help maintain a clean, professional appearance around the facility.

Safety and General Support

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable OSHA requirements.

• Properly use and maintain assigned tools and equipment.

• Wear required personal protective equipment and report unsafe conditions promptly.

• Assist with moving materials, setting up work areas, and completing other facility-related tasks as assigned.

• Support other departments with general maintenance and facility needs when necessary.
