Facility Maintenance Technician III

Amentum is seeking a 2nd shift Facility Maintenance Technician III in Clayton OHTypical work hours are 3rd Shift Mon-Fri 2ndshift from 230pm to 1100pm hours may vary based on business demand.Weekend hours May be scheduled to support our 247 operationWeekend On call rotation is includedResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision perform tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity.Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Reviews service requests for repairs and maintenance determines nature of problem and recommends appropriate solutionsServes as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.Coordinates work with outside contractors.Assure code and building standards are met.Performs repairs modifications and preventative maintenance on buildings and facilities equipment fixtures and systems.Troubleshoots repairs and maintains facility systems.Performs work based on dispatched service or dailyweekly work schedules.Reviews work as required to document specific needs materials supplies instructions etc.Assists in the movement of furniture materials and equipment as required.Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.Works with or oversees subcontractor activities as directed by supervisor or work schedule.Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.Minimum RequirementsHigh School graduate or demonstrated equivalent.3 years of experience in the area of specialization and or combination of education and experience.Physical RequirementsRequires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders roof ladders stepladders and stairs at least 10 times during shift.Requires the flexibility to bendstoop squat repetitive during shift.Requires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.Requires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.Requires the ability to stretchreach on a repetitive basis for shift.Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.Requires the use of a CompanyClient approved utility knife. Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.Additional Information Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.This position may require a valid Drivers License.This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our clients location.This position may require overtime various shifts weekends holidays and alternative work.Special Requirements Wear steel toemetatarsal safety shoes safety glasses gloves hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.Cope with demands stressors that are associated with the job andor the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
