Texas College seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach in its undergraduate programs. The undergraduate programs include: English, Music, Religion, Liberal Studies, General Studies (Associate degree), Computer Science, Mathematics, Biology, Interdisciplinary Studies, Early Childhood Education (Associate degree), Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Sociology, and Social Work. The Faculty Pool consists of qualified instructors who may be hired on a course-by-course or semester basis to teach in designated academic disciplines. Assignments are based on enrollment, program needs and instructor qualifications. Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period. Successful candidates may teach face to face and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department. Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a master\'s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous college-level teaching experience, experience with online or hybrid instruction.
