Job Summary AFC Urgent Care in Temple is seeking a FNP /PA to evaluate and treat patients with non-life threating illnesses and injuries. The provider will deliver compassionate care with positive experience to all patients and work closely with the clinic team.
Responsibilities
Diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans for patients within an urgent care setting
Evaluate patients with acute illnesses and injuries and prescribe appropriate medications as required
Order, interpret and follow up on diagnostic tests as well as provide referrals to the appropriate health care facilities
Perform minor procedures when required within the scope of the practice
Explain diagnosis, treatment instructions, warning signs and follow up plans to patients
Complete and sign-off patient charts on a daily basis
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family
Professional appearance and attitude
ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred)
Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required
Able to multi-task and work independently
