About the Role:
Waynesboro Redevelopment and Housing is looking for a passionate and dedicated Family Self Sufficiency Coordinator to join our team in Waynesboro, VA. Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage individualized Family Self Sufficiency (FSS) contracts and action plans for program participants
• Connect participants with community resources, social services, job training, and educational opportunities
• Conduct regular case management meetings to monitor participant progress toward self-sufficiency goals
• Coordinate with local agencies, employers, and service providers to expand resource networks
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date participant records, escrow accounts, and program documentation
• Facilitate workshops and group sessions focused on financial literacy, employment readiness, and life skills
• Ensure program compliance with HUD regulations and reporting requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, or a related field preferred
• Experience in case management, social services, or community development
• Knowledge of HUD Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) or public housing programs is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build trust with diverse populations
• Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and managing multiple caseloads simultaneously
• Familiarity with local community resources and social service agencies in the Waynesboro/Shenandoah Valley area
• Compassionate, self-motivated, and committed to empowering low-income families
