We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee and manage daily operations on our farm located in Independence, KY. This role involves leading a team to ensure efficient, sustainable, and profitable farming practices while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise farm staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
- Monitor crop growth, soil conditions, and weather to adjust farming plans accordingly.
- Experience in operating farm machinery and maintaining farm equipment and ensure safe operation protocols are followed.
- Develop and manage budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to farming operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Farm Manager or similar role in agricultural management.
- Strong knowledge of farming operations, crop management, and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management for agricultural enterprises.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate farm machinery.
