Description:

This position is responsible for creating student-centered content for UHD''s social media channels, with an emphasis on video production, as well as posting event listings to media websites.

Social Media Specialist

The Ideal Candidate:

• Understands and adheres to UHD''s social media philosophy, brand standards, and platform-specific communication strategies.
• Possesses strong writing skills with a keen eye for detail, voice, and tone.
• Has experience creating, filming, and editing short-form video content.
• Demonstrates a genuine interest in social media trends, storytelling, and visual communication.
• Creates engaging, original content for UHD''s social media channels, including text, photos, graphics, and videos.
• Collaborates with university departments and external stakeholders to develop content and campaigns.
• Stays informed about events and activities across campus to support social media promotion efforts.
• Attends select campus events to provide real-time social media coverage.
• Promotes student, faculty, and university stories featured in UHD News through social media channels.

Media Relations

The ideal candidate assists with promoting UHD events by posting event information to local media and community event calendars.
