Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.

Job Summary

The Athletic Training Student Assistant supports the daily operations of the Sports Medicine Department by assisting with treatment room preparation, hydration, equipment management, facility organization, and administrative duties while promoting a safe environment for student-athletes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily setup and cleanup of the athletic training room.
  • Prepare and restock treatment tables, first aid supplies, and hydration stations.
  • Assist with laundry, towel distribution, and organization of medical equipment.
  • Help maintain inventory of athletic training supplies and report items needing replacement.
  • Assist with pre-practice and game-day preparations as directed by the athletic training staff.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe athletic training facility.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, documentation, and inventory records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the athletic training staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a current Albany State student enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to follow instructions, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Positive attitude with strong customer service and a team-first mindset.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 pounds.
  • Able to work consistent schedule; Weekend and nights will be required

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPR/AED/First AID Certified
  • Student with a major in Health and Human Performance preferred
