Occupational Summary

Campus Life work-studies will work in Campus Life and will be involved in answering phones, providing helpful information to students, and assisting current and prospective students as needed. In addition, the work study would help support the events that are hosted through Campus Life, help organize the food pantry and fill the orders that are placed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Answer college phone lines (switchboard) and transfer calls and check voicemails
• Assist students who come to the window
• Assist with filling pantry orders
• Assist with organizing the Panther Pantry
• Use email and the Microsoft chat messaging system to communicate between departments
• Escort or direct students to other buildings on campus
• Support staff in daily tasks as needed
• Maintain a clean lobby area
• Help prepare for college events and mailings
• Assist with Campus Life Group Tours
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled student at Craven Community College

Eligible for the Work Study program

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent Customer Service Skills

Displays Leadership skills

Ability to work with students
