Occupational Summary

Public Radio East is seeking qualified students to assist with communication and marketing. To qualify, students must be a student at Craven Community College and eligible for Financial Aid.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Answers phone lines and transfers calls
• Updates PRE's website news
• Writes copy for social media, news, events, and other media
• Monitors and updates event calendars
• Represents PRE at events
• Supports staff in daily tasks as needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Student must meet Federal Work Study eligibility requirements to apply as well as any academic department requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Work experience may require knowledge of certain skills (critical thinking, computer skills, communication skills,), coursework completion, GPA requirements, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Experience with social media platforms.

Benefits are not available for temporary positions.
