A privately-owned finishing feedlot in South Dakota is urgently seeking a Feedlot Manager to oversee operations. This is a hands-on management role that requires leading by example, ensuring the wellbeing of livestock, managing employees, maintaining facilities and equipment, and fostering strong relationships with customers and ownership.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee employees and ensure optimal cattle care

• Develop and manage employee schedules

• Collaborate with consulting nutritionists and veterinarians

• Maintain and grow customer relationships

• Communicate regularly with office staff and ownership

Requirements:

• Prior management experience in a finishing feedlot setting

• Strong understanding of cattle health and feeding practices

• Proven leadership and effective communication skills

• Ability to build and maintain relationships

• Spanish language skills are preferred but not required
