Scott’s Fencing Co. is looking for a dependable Fence Installer to join our Albuquerque-area team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, using tools, and taking pride in seeing a project come together from start to finish.
Previous fencing experience is helpful, but it is not required. Construction, concrete, welding, landscaping, or other hands-on trade experience can be valuable. We are also interested in people who are dependable, physically capable, willing to learn, and able to work effectively as part of a crew.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare work areas and lay out fence lines
- Dig post holes and prepare concrete for fence posts
- Set and secure fence posts
- Install fencing materials and related components
- Use hand and power tools
- Load, carry, and position materials at job sites
- Follow direction from the crew Foreman
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Help the crew complete projects safely and efficiently
What We’re Looking For
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work a consistent 40-hour Monday-Friday schedule
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work throughout the day
- Ability to regularly lift and carry materials weighing 50+ pounds, including overhead lifting when required
- Comfort working with basic hand and power tools
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with a crew
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to travel out of town when project work requires it
- Good communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Previous experience in any of the following is a plus:
- Fence installation
- General construction
- Wood or vinyl fencing
- Welding or metal fabrication
- Concrete work
- Landscaping or other outdoor trades
