CR&A Custom is a Los Angeles large-format printing and visual display company. We produce building wraps, tradeshow and retail displays, event graphics, and out-of-home advertising for national brands, and we handle fabrication and installation in house.

Position Summary


We are hiring a Field Graphics Installer to install our work on site across the Los Angeles area. You will install building wraps and mesh banners, wall and window graphics, and tradeshow, event, and retail displays for national brands. You will load out from our shop, drive to site, install to spec, and leave every job clean and documented.

Key Responsibilities


Installation

• Install vinyl graphics on walls, windows, floors, and other surfaces, including wall murals, adhesive vinyl, and perforated window film
• Install building wraps and mesh banners on exterior structures: tensioning, fastening, and securing to existing or new mounting hardware
• Assemble, install, and dismantle tradeshow booths, event graphics, and retail displays, including frames, SEG fabric, rigid panels, and custom hardware
• Prep surfaces, test adhesion, and flag surfaces that will not hold
• Remove old graphics and adhesive residue without damaging the surface underneath
• Measure, lay out, and align panels and seams against drawings and proofs; solve fit and alignment problems on site
• Operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, and ladders safely and follow fall protection requirements

Job site and client

• Review work orders, drawings, and site notes before leaving the shop; confirm graphics, hardware, and tools are loaded
• Drive company vehicles to job sites in the LA area; load and unload materials and equipment
• Work professionally with clients, property managers, and site contacts, often around open businesses and the public
• Photograph and document completed work, issues, and change requests
• Report damaged materials, unexpected site conditions, or scope changes to the production team before proceeding
• Follow site safety rules and wear required PPE

Shop support

• Prep graphics for install: trimming, weeding, masking, panel labeling, and packing
• Support shop production and fabrication between field jobs
• Maintain install tool kits and keep vehicles and equipment clean and organized

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years installing large-format graphics, vinyl, signage, or displays in a commercial setting
• Hands-on vinyl application skill: wet and dry application, squeegee technique, heat gun use, trimming, and seaming
• Comfortable working at heights on ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts
• Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record that meets our vehicle insurance requirements
• Able to read a tape measure to 1/16 inches, work from drawings and proofs, and keep graphics level and aligned
• Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, and weekends; many installs happen outside business hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Building wrap or mesh banner installation experience
• Tradeshow or exhibit install and dismantle experience
• Aerial lift (MEWP) certification and fall protection training
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Manufacturer graphics installer certification (e.g., 3M or Avery Dennison)
• Comfortable with drills, anchors, and fasteners for mounting hardware on different wall types
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Physical Requirements


The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

• Work outdoors in heat, sun, wind, and cold, and indoors in active retail and event spaces
• Work at heights from ladders and aerial lifts while wearing fall protection equipment
• Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs, and team-lift rolls, panels, and crated displays
• Stand, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach overhead for extended periods during an 8+ hour shift
• Use fine motor control and hand-eye coordination for precise trimming and alignment
