Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Carpenters and Laborers to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks that support carpentry work and general labor duties on the construction site. This is a hands-on position requiring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Carpentry Tasks:
- Build and install structures such as walls, floors, roofs, and framing.
- Cut, shape, and assemble wood, drywall, and other materials.
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, and other wooden structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.
General Labor Tasks:
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up scaffolding.
- Transport materials and tools to and from work areas.
- Operate basic power tools and hand tools safely.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and procedures.
Team Collaboration:
- Work effectively with other crew members and subcontractors.
- Follow instructions from the Site Superintendent and Foreman.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar laborer role.
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools.
- Ability to follow blueprints and building plans.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Construction trade certification (e.g., Apprenticeship or Journeyman status).
- Experience in commercial construction projects.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 30 pounds).
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
