Our client, established in 2023, is dedicated to maximizing the value of land and transforming the residential landscape of North Carolina. Leveraging strong relationships with national homebuilders and backed by substantial funding and industry experience, Our client maintains a healthy pipeline of residential projects across the Triangle region.

\n
The Operations Manager will report to the Director of Land Acquision and manage internal equipment operators while overseeing project-level execution, including land clearing, stormwater pond conversion, erosion control, and punch list completion. This role requires strong communication and delegation skills, comfort working primarily in the field, and the ability to manage multiple active projects at once.

\n
Key Responsibilities:
\n
\n
Manage two heavy equipment operators, serving as their primary point of contact in the field.
\n
Conduct a weekly check-in across all active projects, including those run by internal crews and those handled by third-party contractors, to monitor progress and ensure alignment with expectations.
\n
Compile weekly work plans and punch lists for internal crews and confirm execution against those plans.
\n
Oversee stormwater control measure (SCM) conversions and erosion control efforts on active sites, ensuring projects remain compliant and are ready for community turnover.
\n
Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs, plan around scheduled service needs, and verify reported equipment hours against GPS tracking data.
\n
Support management of third-party contractor relationships, including sitework and grading contractors bid out for a significant portion of turnkey grading and utility work.
\n
Report equipment issues, project updates, and operational needs directly to manager.
\n
Help implement structure, policies, and procedures to support the company's continued growth.

Skills & Experience:
\n
\n
3+ years of experience in construction preferred.
\n
Familiarity with heavy equipment preferred, hands-on equipment operation is not required for this role.
\n
Comfortable working primarily in the field, with regular travel across active project sites in the greater Triangle region.
\n
Strong communication and delegation skills, with the ability to effectively manage a small internal team.
