    Description

    Field Operations Technician I - Product Engineering Support

    Major Purpose
    Supports the successful execution of field operations under the guidance of the field operations manager and field operations leads. Executes data collection procedures to develop and improve machine learning models used to power autonomous vehicles. Provides actionable feedback to development team. Assists with logistics, equipment assembly, basic maintenance and troubleshooting, field data collection, pilot projects, and system testing.

    Major Duties
    " Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
    " Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and systems for emergency repairs and carry out preventive maintenance inspections.
    " Develop testing standards and procedures under the direction of professional colleagues.
    " Support technical troubleshooting efforts, aiding in the quick and accurate identification, analysis, and resolution of technical issues with equipment and experiments.
    " Help to install complex systems and conduct inspections of equipment with guidance.
    " Implement improvements and provide feedback on them. Use change management systems and protocols to provide routine support services.
    " Prioritize own workflow and ensure work is completed to the required standards of quality and timeliness; use performance management systems to improve personal performance.
    " Provide initial fault isolation and propose resolution for approval by more senior colleagues to limit and address issues promptly.

    Position Title: Field Test Technician

    Specific Position Requirements: Max Bill Rate: ***/hr
    Provide product technical support to PV&V field teams, channel partners, customers on complex product problems while developing channel partners' technical and Customer Support capability. May serve as a resource to other Product Support Representatives, Engineering, and / or Quality Improvement Teams, etc. Duties: Following the Problem Resolution Process, takes a lead role in troubleshooting and solving complex problems for field teams, channel partners, or customers using advanced diagnostic skills, and systems and tools to access all existing published information. Under the framework of established processes, takes a lead role in analyzing data from multiple sources and works through cross-functional teams to resolve technical problems on new products. May develop and author solutions/bulletins for complex problems that can be utilized by field teams or channel partners. Provide assistance in gathering identified parts needed for production intent updates.
    May travel to the field to provide problem resolution on complex problems or update machines with experimental or production intent parts. (Periodic travel is required throughout US/Canada - approx. 10-20%)

    Will consider more entry level candidates recently coming from an Ag. Tech school or similar (at market appropriate rate)***

    - Education requirement
    " Minimum two-year degree in one of the following degrees or a combination of above skills and applicable work experience: Electrical Engineering Technology, Diesel Power Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Technology Management.

    - what type of technical experience
    " Strong understanding of diesel engine diagnostics including electrical and aftertreatment systems
    " Must have the electrical diagnostic background
    " Knowledge of Battery Electric Vehicle Systems.

    - software familiarity
    Microsoft office and Teams
    Will use propriety diagnostic tools/applications, so must be technically adept.
