Job Summary

Miller Electric: The Field Service Representative will report directly to the project leader. This is a client-facing role that requires the ability to build relationships both in and out of the office. The core responsibility as a Field Service Representative is to self-perform, manage, coordinate and execute electrical maintenance projects and work efforts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintenance of electrical systems, such as 3 phase, UPS, Automatic transfer switches, generators, static switches, power distribution systems • Build vendors relationships • Assist in creation of Change Management Forms and Methods of Procedure (MOPs) • Troubleshooting electrical systems using array of test equipment • Working to NFPA standards • Maintain communication with office personnel via email or cell communication • Participate in training allowing you to grow and develop as a professional • Reading of blueprints and technical diagrams • Follow all company safety procedures such as LOTO • Training of less experienced employees • Knowledge of primary and secondary injection of circuit breakers • Ability to read trip curves • Knowledge of insulation resistance testing (megger) • Knowledge of low resistance testing (Ductor) • Testing of transformers single and three phase (TTR) • PLC Experience • Ability to read electrical drawings (one line, three-line, control schematic, wiring diagram) • Start up and commissioning experience • VFD's, soft starts, motor control knowledge • Programming of communication devices • IR scanning experience • Ability to create detailed job findings • Understanding of different communication protocols • Ability to read and implement co-ordination studies • Willing to undertake further training

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• 3+ years as OEM or Facility maintenance person • Face to face customer service experience • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Commitment to developing time management and organizational skills • Good work ethic and willingness to learn new methods • A valid US Drivers License with a satisfactory record • Physical dexterity- able to lift 60 lbs. • Willingness to travel as necessary • Excellent troubleshooting skills

PREFERRED

• Experience working in the electrical preventive maintenance field • 5+ years of Electrical preventive maintenance experience is preferred • IR scanning certification • Prior experience working as a OEM technician • Prior experience as an electrician or maintenance technician • Prior experience managing and coordinating vendors
