POSITION TITLE: Field Service Technician, Mechanical and Controls
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for total equipment lifecycle management services that optimize the performance of OEM equipment. FST's travel to customer sites to perform planned services, troubleshoot issues, make repairs, recommend spare parts, and provide upgrades/modernization. You will be responsible for services that include installation, start-up/commissioning, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, audits, and training.
This position is a focal point for service and support related mechanical and controls issues and will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise for the entire Key Technology product line. This position requires a strong blend of problem-solving skills, technical knowledge and customer service abilities to address and resolve complex technical issues to ensure that any high-profile technical issues are identified and corrected in a timely manner. Technicians travel to customer sites to perform planned services, troubleshoot issues, make repairs, recommend spare parts, and provide upgrades/modernization. You will be responsible for services that include installation, start-up/commissioning, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, audits, and training. This role will require understanding of PLC's, VFDs, motion controls and other related components. In this position, you will:

The employee is frequently required to grasp, handle, and feel objects, control and manage tools, and use hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but at times loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
