Reports To: Technical Service Manager
Exemption Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Travel Required: 65-75%

What You'll Be Doing

Supervise installation and start-up of high-tech machines at customer locations
Travel nationwide to perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on machines (warranty and non-warranty)
Fabricate on-site, including welding, layout, and sheet metal work
Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues
Collaborate with in-house manufacturing teams to identify and resolve potential field service problems
Train both customers and fellow employees on machine operation and best practices
Prepare detailed service reports and provide feedback to internal teams
Support the Technical Service Manager and Field Service Supervisor with special projects and initiatives

What We’re Looking For

Experience: 5–7 years of hands-on factory experience, including welding and machine installation
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Skills:
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Fabrication, welding, and layout skills
- Strong communication — both written and verbal
- Able to perform physical tasks (lift up to 50 lbs, kneel, climb, bend, etc.)
- Basic math skills and solid reasoning ability
Flexibility: Must be comfortable with frequent travel (65-75%)
Bonus: Experience training others in the use of complex machinery

Work Environment

Expect to work in a traditional shop setting as well as on-site at customer plants. You’ll need to be comfortable with temperature variations, noise, and occasional exposure to fumes or dust depending on the location.
