Job Description

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the onsite setup, electro-mechanical repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of multi-function digital printing equipment and related office hardware. You will serve as a primary technical contact for clients within your assigned territory, ensuring high machine uptime and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Field Maintenance & Repair: Perform onsite electro-mechanical troubleshooting, routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and installations on digital copiers, printers, and multi-function hardware.
  • ​Connectivity & Setup: Assist with basic network configuration (TCP/IP, SMB, SMTP, print controllers) and hardware setup for client deployments.
  • ​Territory Coverage: Primary coverage focused on Brooklyn, NY, with occasional field dispatch to other New York City boroughs and New Jersey as business needs require. 
  • Customer Relations: Maintain strong communication with business clients, providing operational guidance, clear service reporting, and professional representation of our company.
  • ​Inventory & Parts Management: Manage local boot stock, accurately order replacement parts, and track inventory for timely customer resolution.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturer Certifications (Preferred): Direct factory training or hands-on experience with Konica Minolta, Kyocera, and Xerox hardware platforms will be given strong preference. 
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience diagnosing and repairing multi-function printing equipment, feed mechanisms, optical assemblies, and toner/image transfer systems.
  • Field Experience: Experience navigating field service routes in the NYC metropolitan area.
  • Clean Driving Record: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field service routing.
  • ​Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving capabilities, clear communication skills, and a strong customer-first mindset.
