Description
Job Summary
The Field Service Technician III is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining power generation equipment at customer locations. This role performs standard repairs, replaces support equipment when necessary, conducts routine maintenance, and ensures all work is completed according to quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with power generation equipment.
Perform standard repairs on power generation and related support equipment.
Replace batteries, chargers, block heaters, and other support equipment as required.
Identify and order parts needed for repairs and maintenance.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance according to established schedules.
Assist senior technicians on larger or more complex service projects.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety procedures.
Utilize diagnostic tools and laptop computers to support service activities.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
3–7 years of related technical experience.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills.
Ability to use laptop computers and portable diagnostic tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Dependable, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
Customer-service focused with the ability to follow established procedures.
Preferred Skills
Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience servicing power generation equipment.
Ability to work independently and support senior technicians on complex assignments.
