    Description

    Field Service Technician - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

    Position: Full-Time

    Location: 60 Mile Radius from Oklahoma City

    Experience: 3-5 Years of Engine & Compressor Maintenance

    Pay Range: $25-$50/Hour

    Overview:

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Technician to join our client's team. The candidate must live in the Must live within 60 miles of the Oklahoma City area. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks on natural gas engines and compressors. You'll play a crucial role in optimizing compression equipment performance, ensuring compliance with company and customer policies, and maintaining a professional image.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform skilled maintenance, repair, and overhauls on natural gas engines and compressors.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose compressor system failures, ensuring optimal equipment performance.
    • Adhere to company and customer policies and procedures.
    • Complete necessary paperwork as directed.
    • Continuously develop skills in line with industry technological advances.
    • Collaborate effectively within a team and work independently when required.
    • Present a professional and customer-friendly demeanor.

    Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in compressor and engine maintenance.
    • Basic knowledge of surface production equipment.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills for electronic and mechanical control problems.
    • Ability to operate diagnostic tools and maintain a full set of hand tools per company standards.
    • Willingness to travel for short and extended periods.
    • Flexibility to work different shifts and respond to call outs.
    • Excellent customer relations skills.
    • Willingness to attend training classes and seminars as required.
    • General computer skills, with the ability to use a computer as a diagnostic tool.

    Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Formal vocational training preferred.
    • Three to five years of engine and compressor maintenance experience.
    • Experience with Caterpillar, Waukesha engines, Ariel, GE, and other gas compressors is a plus.

    Language Skills:

    • Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Certificates and Licenses:

    • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
    • CAT Training certification preferred.

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to lift heavy objects.
    • Extended periods of standing.
    • Work in various temperature conditions (hot and cold).
    • Frequent lifting and/or moving of objects up to 70 pounds, with occasional lifting and/or moving of objects up to 100 pounds.
