Position We are currently searching for the right candidate to join our Aftermarket Service and Training team as a Field Service Technician. This position is responsible for servicing and demonstrating our pavement striping vehicles and equipment, as well as providing operator training at customer locations. Responsibilities - Demonstrating equipment to potential customers.
- Installing new or modified equipment at customer’s facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
- Assisting in the training of new operators at customer sites.
- Providing on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot, repair, and adjust equipment.
- Evaluating field installations and recommending design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
- Attending trade shows which may include assembling and disassembling equipment.
Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent required, an associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of four years of construction equipment related service experience preferred.
- Solid mechanical aptitude
- Mechanical knowledge – Hydraulics, Electronics, Pneumatics, Transfer Pumps, High Pressure Pumps, Pressurized Vessels, Burners, Furnaces
- Willingness to travel (up to 95%) throughout the United States and Canada
- Includes flying and driving
- Excel in customer service
Physical Requirements - Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must regularly/frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and infrequently/occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and adverse outside weather conditions.
