Reports to: Field Services Supervisor

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Field Services Technician will hold a full-time, permanent position within our Operations and Maintenance division at our Spring, TX location. This hands-on role is responsible for performing essential fieldwork related to water and wastewater systems across assigned service areas. Reporting to the Field Services Supervisor, the technician will work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure efficient operations and excellent service delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

• Attend daily department meetings to receive and prioritize work orders
• Review and organize daily tickets for efficient route planning
• Drive to assigned service areas and maintain communication with Customer Service Representatives
• Check in and out with Customer Service when entering or leaving each district and before returning to the office
• Document all completed and incomplete work tickets and submit them daily

Essential Field Tasks:

• Turn water service on and off using appropriate tools
• Read and verify in-ground meters
• Lock meters and inspect for leaks or malfunctions
• Identify sewer stoppages and determine responsibility
• Assist in clearing sewer stoppages as needed
• Inspect water leaks and perform minor repairs
• Conduct sewer system inspections and pre/post-construction assessments
• Install, replace, or remove in-ground meters and related components
• Replace meter boxes or lids
• Support Construction and Operations departments as directed by supervisor

Required Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to perform physically demanding work (bending, digging, lifting, stooping, kneeling)
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Excellent communication and customer interaction skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record screening
