Field Service Technician

Find candidates for a Field Service Technician position installing, assembling, troubleshooting, and commissioning industrial heat-treating equipment. Prioritize candidates with experience as industrial maintenance technicians, traveling millwrights, field service technicians, machinery installers, machine builders, industrial mechanics, or industrial equipment service technicians.

Key experience to prioritize:

• Hands-on installation, assembly, rigging, positioning, and startup of industrial machinery.

• Mechanical troubleshooting, equipment repair, and preventive maintenance.

• Experience working with mechanical systems, electrical components, industrial piping, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, motors, or controls.

• Welding and fabrication experience, especially MIG, TIG, and stick welding.

• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.

• Experience commissioning equipment, verifying system operation, documenting issues, and making field adjustments.

• Ability to work independently at customer sites, resolve technical issues, and communicate professionally with customers.

Travel requirements: Candidates must be willing and able to travel approximately 90% of the time, primarily throughout the United States, with occasional international travel. Prior traveling field service or industrial installation experience is strongly preferred.

Ideal candidate backgrounds: Traveling millwrights, industrial machinery installers, machine builders, industrial maintenance technicians, field service technicians, industrial mechanics, and technicians who install or service manufacturing equipment.

Prioritize candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on industrial experience, welding ability, and extensive-travel availability. Direct heat-treating equipment experience is beneficial but not required if the candidate has transferable industrial machinery installation and troubleshooting skills.
