    Job Title Field Services Supervisor

    General Role Description

    Develop and maintain a field engineering organization to meet Mid-Range Plan (MRP) commitments within a set of capita and human resources on a rolling 12 – 16-month time horizon

    Role Accountabilities

    -   Build and lead a team of committed and capable employees to ensure successful commissioning and services of products and systems delivered to clients

    -   Implement and monitor a process for efficient resource assignments for field services on projects

    -   Develop, monitor and manage field engineering capitalization budgets to meet business targets

    -   Implement and manage the process to acquire and monitor key information on project performance, for example, sales, costs, margin and schedules, on assigned projects

    -   Recommend adjustments to field services execution plans as needed to ensure project margins targets are achieved

    -   Implement and manage a process to provide project status updates to business and functional units, and customers, and proactively recommend improvements

    -   Identify opportunities, initiate and lead process improvement initiatives in the organization

    -   Monitor skill base within the team and report opportunities for skills improvement to immediate manager

    -   Ensure the skills database is accurate and current

    -   Ensure team members possess the knowledge and are trained to meet current and future needs per the business unit (BU) MRP

    -   Ensure client issues are resolved, at job site if necessary.  Escalate to appropriate management as needed

    -   Cooperate with other functional groups and other group companies to ensure projects are executed successfully

    -   Monitor and ensure compliance to business and technical processes

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent via education and/or experience
    • 2 years of program/project management, engineering management, or other related management experience
    • 2 years of experience specifying, designing and/or commissioning electrical and automation systems for metals, material handling, paper, or general industries
    • Demonstrated success leading teams to accomplish business goals
    • Demonstrated successful working relationships with customers, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
    • Demonstrated successful and positive leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
    • Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, a project management software, and an ERP business system
    • Availability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 50%, sometimes on short notice

    Preferred Qualifications

    -   Demonstrated success leading remotely located teams

    -   Demonstrated experience in the review of commercial terms and conditions of large value services contracts to ensure risk to business is at acceptable levels

    -   Demonstrated success managing financial results to plan in a manufacturing or industrial services environment

    -   Proficiency in MS Projects, PowerBI, and Oracle
